Artist biography

Marion is an artist from Germany. She lives and works in London and Berlin. Most of her adult life she spent in England and in the United States and several years in Latin America. Marion produces experimental, digital photographic art. Her singular photographs and photographic projects take into account the variability of aesthetic and visual experience. She focuses unexpected details and reflects on political and social critical perspectives concerning current sociopolitical events and developments, questioning them also from a historical perspective. Since 2015, she also accompanies photographically documentaries about artists. Recently she started progressing ideas related to psychology, philosophy, and mind focusing on aspects of unconsciousness, art, and creativity. Currently, she is exploring new ways in her artistic practice doing her MA in Contemporary Photography Practices & Philosophies at the University of the Arts London: Central Saint Martins.

She is a member of the Royal Photographic Society as well as of the Professional Women Photographers New York. In 2015, and received a certificate in curating from the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste).
